Let’s not jump to any conclusions. Maybe they just want to redecorate the Cupertino campus, and they thought covering the walls in 8Gb (gigabit, not byte) flash chips would be original and visually appealing.

Actually, that’s probably the last possible reason Apple recently placed a massive order for 100 million 8Gb chips from their suppliers…

IPhone users will be able to make free phone calls from today as Skype becomes available for the first time on the popular Apple gadget.

Skype, the internet telephone unit of eBay, has more than 450 million registered users. It has been pushing to make its service available on “smart-phones” – such as the iPhone – rather than only desktop computers.

3rd Generation iPhone?

NBOX: WE CANNOT be absolutely sure, but the indications so far are that Apple will launch a brand new version of its iPhone some time in the summer, probably in June.

This week, possibly in anticipation of a new handset, it has announced a new version of the software that runs the iPhone, which will give it many more features than previously.

Only techy developers will get to play with it for now, though. Does that mean I shouldn’t bother giving you a preview or advising you to perhaps wait to buy an iPhone, if you can? I think we know the answer to that.

The Mentalists play Kids by MGMT on their iPhones and iPod Touches, using only apps downloaded from the Apple App Store. Apps used Ocarina, Retro Synth, miniSynth, DigiDrummer Lite.

As elegant as moving Apps is in the iPhone and iPod touch interface is, I always find myself frustrated that there’s no easy option to manage this inside iTunes. This is the interface I’d love to see on iTunes for handling apps.
